Obituary for Naomi Robbins Hull

Print
Naomi Robbins Hull went home to Jesus on Feb.10, 2019. She transitioned in Stockton, California at the age of 89 years. She was the wife of William Hull for 56 years before his passing in 2012.
She was born at home in the Dover-Treat Area in Arkansas in what is now the Ozark National Forest. Birth records state she was born on March 25, 1929. However, Naomi believed her actual birth date was March 24th.
She was the 6th child (of 10 children) of Rosalie Carpenter Robbins and Otto Robbins. Born before her were Ferrell Robbins, Glessie Mason, Edward Robbins, Agnes Hull, Rufus Robbins; and born afterward were Ruth Flewellen, Charles Robbins, Orris Jean Robbins, and Helen Wilbanks.
Naomi attended school until the 6th grade, and then went to work helping the farm. She went to Linden, California with her sister Agnes in the spring of 1945 to harvest the fruit and nuts. She traveled annually with family for the cherry harvest seasons of Oregon and Washington. Some of her last words spoken with a smile were, “I sure picked a lot of them cherries.” She also harvested peaches, apples, pears, and walnuts. Her other occupations were cannery worker making spaghetti sauce for Del Monte, bomb renovator at Sharp’s Army Depot during the Vietnam War, pruning fruit trees in the winter, and her favorite job was being a mother, grandmother, and wife.
It was the summer of 1946 when romance blossomed with her and William Hull, who happened to be her brother’s, Rufas, best friend. William and Naomi were married on Feb. 16, 1946 at the county clerk’s office in Russellville, Arkansas.
Naomi was a devoted member of the Linden-Peters Pentecostal Church. She loved the Lord. She was a prayer warrior for bringing salvation and healing for others. Her happiest times were when her husband, William, joined her in church. She was a living example of Christ to all who knew her.
Naomi was the mother of 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Her first child, Janindal Faye Hull was born in 1947; she developed a severe handicap of cerebral palsy and retardation. Naomi was devoted mother to Janindal until her passing in 2018. Naomi’s other children are Patricia Lynn Hull-Anglin, J.D. Hull, and Tony Hull. She leaves behind grandchildren, Melissa Lesson, Brian Hull, Amber Rose Mora, Christopher Hull, Richard Rebol, Jessica Amaral, Erica Hull and predeceased, Jenny Deanne Hull. She also leaves behind a sister, Ruth and brother, Charles.
