Obituary for William Leonard Arbogast

William Leonard Arbogast
December 30, 1963 - September 7, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Arbogast announces his sudden death at the age of 57. Billy was born in Stockton, California to William G. Arbogast and Zirel "Cookie" Agust Arbogast. He lived his entire life in Stockton and attended local schools, graduating from Lincoln High School and then San Joaquin Delta College, where he received his A.A. degree.
Billy was an expert in mechanics and doing anything with his hands. He worked for Sears Auto Maintenance for many years. Following other jobs he worked at Steam Cleaners, Inc. in the last several years until his death.
Bill started racing motorcycles at age 5 and continued for many years, having a big impact on motorcycle competition, winning many titles and other honors. He also raced small remote control Sprint cars and won the National Championship.
He had many first class collections, including Hot Wheel cars and baseball cards. He was a good musician (self-taught) and played the national anthem on his own guitars at many competitions.
Bill had 32 years of sobriety and was considered a "Black Belt" among his AA associates! He was always available to help anyone.
Bill was a very private person but had great love for his family and close friends....and especially his dogs!! He also loved RUSH! He led a full and active life.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Cookie Arbogast; his aunt, Charlene Arbogast McHugh (Kevin), and his cousins, Aliece McHugh Drake (Ron) and their children; Megan McHugh Mitchell (Nate) and their children; his aunt Janet Arbogast Troy (Tim) and her children, Eric Wagoner (Jen) and Janel Wagoner Warren and her son, Garret and family; his aunt Deborah Agust Mc Donald (Kenneth) and their sons, Richard McDonald and Kevin McDonald (Danielle). He is also survived by a very dear friend, James Tillman whom we would like to thank for all his support.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at which time there will be a Celebration of Life Service. Colonial Rose Chapel, 520 N. Sutter St., Stockton, CA 95202. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Billy's life.
