Obituary for Valerie Lynn Mejia

Valerie Lynn Mejia sunrised July 20 1954 and sunset on November 3 2022,born to the late Elliot and Jenny Mejia , survived by her adult children , Valerie Moya, Robert Moya , Jessica Beltran , Christina Beltran, Joseph Beltran , memories Beltran , and Antonio Garnica, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, all of Stockton CA. Sister to the late Kenneth Mejia, Michael Mejia, John Mejia Elliot Mejia, and Patrick Mejia, sister to sherry Mejia, Annette Mejia, mark Mejia and Stephanie Mejia all of Stockton CA and a host of nieces and nephews . She attended Delta College where she studied fashion and designing , it was there that her passion and calling to bring awareness & education to issues to improve their lives in community and youth outreach, in doing so Valerie co found Latinos for social and cultural awareness of San Joaquin county and initiated Stockton CA first city wide Cesar Chavez memorial and community outreach celebration in which she hosted for 20 years . Honored by the San Joaquin county board of supervisors for her community work and youth outreach and Founder of Chicana Pride Dance team . She surrendered her life to her Lord Jesus Christ and attended lighthouse of the valley church up to her passing. Service as follows: viewing November 14 2022 at Colonial Rose Chapel in Stockton CA and funeral services at lighthouse of the valley on November 15, 2022 starting at 10 am followed by procession to the graveside at San Joaquin Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
