Obituary for Tammy Carol Recio (Porter)

Tammy Carol Recio (Porter), 55, of Stockton California, Passed away November 17, 2018 due to organ failure at a Modesto hospital in the presence of family and friends. She was born in French Camp, California February 10, 1963 to Beverly and Chester Porter.

After struggling with several health problems for many years, battling breast cancer and holding on until the very end, Tammy now is in a better place pain free. She was known to be a devoted wife, loving sister, dedicated mother beyond limits, affectionate grandmother, soon-to-be great grandmother and friend.

Tammy is preceded in death by her parents Beverly and Chester Porter, brother Johnny Lopez and loving husband Lorenzo Recio Sr.

She is survived by her son, Derk Bod Jr.; daughter, Victoria Cordova and her husband, Andrew; daughter, Nicole Girling and her husband, Steve; 4 granddaughters, Lilliana Galindo, Christina Cordova, Madisyn Girling and Jaedyn Girling; 1 great granddaughter. Her Siblings, Norman Brazel, Donald Porter, and Kathy Porter, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing and Services will be held on November 30th 2018 at Colonial Rose Chapel 520 N. Sutter Street Stockton, CA 95202. Viewing 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Service 2:00 pm

Dear Tammy, This is mashana I will miss you dearly I remember when I first started working for you. I meant a women that was a sun flower in my eyes. we had so many laughs and talks I want forget. I remember coming over and you said you is my daughter now and that meant alot to me to have u as a another mother. But sometimes I thought I was the mother telling you that you need to stop drinking so many Pepsi LoL and drink water... I can remember the day you cuss me out along with Victoria.. I know you not in pain nomore you are pain free. I know we can be selfish at times and say why u had to take tammy from us. But we know your spirit is still here with us and the lord took his angle to walk thru that white gate to meet your husband. one thing u always ask me is to watch over Victoria and I will do that. you will be miss dearly.
