Rosa Linda Garcia (Thrailkill)
August 7, 1961 - April 8, 2021

Rosa, nicknamed Rosie, unexpectedly passed away in Stockton on April 8th at the young age of 59. Her sudden departure was felt with deep sadness and pain by many, as she was a dearly beloved mother, grandmother, life partner, sister, coworker, aunt, and friend. Rosa was born in Cypress-Fairbanks, Texas. As the ninth of ten children, Rosa enjoyed close bonds with her siblings and extended family. She was less than one year old when her family moved to Madera, CA. They lived in Central California for several years before eventually settling in Stockton, CA.

Rosa was deeply devoted to God and the Virgin Mary. Her Bible and prayer groups helped her through many difficult times.

Rosa attained her Associate degree from Delta College and worked for Service First for 18 years providing her valuable time, attention, and care to disabled adults. As a day program manager, she played an integral role in providing a safe, nurturing environment for her clients. While working for Service First, she met Luther Liu, her life partner of 14 years.

At home she went above and beyond to provide and care for her children and grandchildren, constantly showering them in unconditional love. After raising her four children and having more time available, she enjoyed creating beautiful, intricate pieces of jewelry and rosaries. She also loved compiling memories into cherished scrapbooks. Many of her creations were shared with family and friends. Other hobbies she enjoyed were thrift store shopping and gardening.

Rosa will be remembered as a strong, dependable pillar of support for her family. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Otila Garcia and Manuel Garcia; brother Steve Garcia; niece Monica Vargas and nephew Joel Vargas. She is survived by her sons Ryan Thrailkill and Jason Beaty; daughters Megan Thrailkill and Julia Beaty; and 11 grandchildren.
