Stockton flea markets lost a loyal customer on January 4, 2021.
On Monday, January 4, 2021, Pete A. Quijalvo loving brother, uncle and friend passed away at age 68 due to COVID-19 complications. He was a proud loving brother and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Pete was an avid collector of all things, great cook and was just an all-around great person. One of his greatest legacies was servant leadership in helping those less fortunate. He was blessed with the gift of compassion and kindness to those in need.
Retiring from Caltrans after 30 + years running heavy equipment, he turned into fulltime collector and started sporting a beard. Every day was an adventure, and he lived his life to the fullest.
Pete took fashion cues from no one. His signature every day look was all his: T-shirt, jeans or denim shorts worn a little low, tennis shoes and ball caps with tractor logos. The saggy pants drove his mother crazy.
Pete’s laugh smiles and friendship will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Due to the pandemic his family will hold a private, family only service. A celebration of life will be held in the future TBD.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity or those less fortunate.
