Pete, the man with the friendly face, was called home by our Heavenly Father in the evening on December 22, 2018, after a long debilitating illness. He was a humble man, with simple needs and a big heart, with a winning smile and a great sense of humor. He leaves behind his wife Hildegard, son Mark (Shawn), daughters Gabrielle Hartzler and Denise Maire (Skip), eight grandchildren, Thomas, Lauren, Nicholasa, Connor, Sydney, Kegan, Valerie and Jack and extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 2455 Country Club Blvd, Stockton. Reception to follow in Church Hall. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, if you care to make a gift in Pete's memory, please consider the Stockton Host Lions Club Foundation, his life long Service Organization, or charity of your choice.
