Michael John Bacaylan
May 23, 1952 - December 29, 2020

Michael J. Bacaylan loving Son, Brother, Dad, Uncle, and Papa passed away December 29, 2020. Leaving behind many who loved him. He was born in Sacramento Ca. To Mecorino Ebia Bacaylan and Amelia Elena Oropesa. He began working in the fields as a young boy. He then joined the Marine Corp and received The National Defense Service Medal in 1971 and The Good Conduct Medal in 1973. He later retired from the San Joaquin County Road maintenance division at the age of 55. He raised two daughters and played a big role in caring and providing for his grandchildren. Mike’s taxi service was just one of the ways he took care of them. He spent numerous hours at pop warner football, dance lessons, and piano. He had a passion for traveling and fishing whenever the opportunity arose. Mike loved History and can recite facts from biblical times, the ottoman empire, and many others to the events of today. Michael was generous with his time and finances. Providing everyone with new TV’s and surround sound speakers to giving away good fishing poles to grandsons, brothers, and nephews. Always eager to take anyone willing on paid vacations to Hawaii, Philippines, Spain, and lake trips just to name a few. He wanted everyone around him to have a good time and understand the importance of life experiences and family bonding. He would always say “I can’t take it with me” so he choose to live life and spoil those around him. So we will keep his memory alive by telling stories about his love, generosity, and O.C.D behavior. By passing down his OFF and ON Marine Corp. cadence and keeping Mike’s Gym open to all anytime. He will be deeply missed by all.
Until we meet again!

Matthew 28:20 Surely I am with you always.
