Aunt Marian’s light lives on in our memories. She was loved and treasured by so many, myself included. I will always remember being a young girl and wearing “play dress-up heels” walking my way into the kitchen during one of the Patane visits to Visalia. Out quickly came Aunt Marian’s great sarcastic wit shooting, “Who is coming that is so light on their feet?” So true as, even today, I sound like a herd of elephants as I walk in my high-heels. I must hit the floor with a resounding fierceness that Aunt Marian noticed at my young age. I love and loved that sarcasm and, credit her with my embrace of sarcastic humor. You will be missed Aunt Marian but always remembered. My prayers to the whole Patane Family.
