It’s with heavy hearts the Ruiz family announces the loss of our loving mother, Maria Consuelo Ramirez De Ruiz. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 21, 2021 at the age of 93. Maria was born November 22, 1927 in Mexico to Martin Ramirez and Isidra Ruiz.

In Mexico, Maria met her husband, Ciriaco D. Ruiz, and had nine kids, five surviving, before moving to the United States. Here is where she had her last child in 1965. She was well known for having a warm and caring demeanor towards everyone she met. She was a housewife that enjoyed being social and giving back, where she volunteered at Taft Community Center in Stockton, Ca. She appreciated the beauty in nature and loved gardening. Her favorite pastimes were trips to the casino with family and winning big.

Maria is preceded in death by her late husband, Ciriaco D. Ruiz, son, Manuel Ruiz, and daughter-in-law, Isabel Ruiz. She is survived by her five daughters; Martha Ruiz-Grijalva, Consuelo Verduzco, Antonia Ruiz, Noemi Ortiz, and Hilda Ruiz. She has ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends who love and will miss her dearly.
