Obituary for Larry Donnell Johnson

Print
Larry D. Johnson was born June 14, 1957 to the late Henry and Linnie Johnson, in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Two brothers, Henry Johnson Jr. and Dennis Johnson and two sisters, Maggie Johnson and Alice Johnson preceded him in death. He graduated from Yazoo High School, Yazoo City, Mississippi and also graduated from Merritt College, Oakland, Ca.

He united in Holy matrimony to Pamela Scott in 1991 and of this union one daughter, Larrane Johnson was born. Prior to this union one daughter was born Darvonda Johnson. He was baptized in his early childhood. He retired from Mothers Cookies after 25 years. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Stockton, Ca. Larry loved to go to the casino, party, go to social events and watch games on TV and cook beans, corn bread and fried chicken with okra.

For as long as we can remember, Larry was always out spoken, he loved to crack jokes, curse and was a very passionate, a very good listener and always tried to give the best advice he possibly could. Larry was full of laughter, stability and love, he will be greatly missed but never forgotten and forever loved by his family and friends. Whereas God in his infinite wisdom saw fit to take him from our midst, we bow in humble submission to His Holy Will.

He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his loss a wife of 27 years, Pamela Scott Johnson; 2 children; Darvonda Johnson and Larrane Johnson; 3 step children; Leon Cooper Jr., Nicki Johnson and Jazelyn Johnson; 6 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ernestine Diamond, Marina Woodard and Denise Johnson; 6 brothers, Marcus Johnson, Stanley Johnson, Will Johnson, Ted Johnson, Travis Johnson and Gregory Johnson; 2 sisters in law, Victoria Scott and Renautris Encalade; 3 brothers in law, Johnny Woodard, Freddie Scott Jr. and Nate Encalade Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many more family members and friends.
