BROWN, Katherine
March 2, 1934 – April 26, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Brown announces her passing on Monday, April 26th, 2021, at the age of 87 years. Katherine was born March 2, 1934, to Lucille Aletha and George Washington Carroll, Sr. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She enjoyed her early childhood with her brothers and sisters: Lelious Carroll, Estella Davis, Margaret Larvine, Opal Case, Helen Jefferson, & George Washington Carroll, Jr. Katherine was the youngest child of this union. She also shared her life with her half-siblings: Sinclair Gatlin, Roland Carroll, Brenda Carroll-Lacy, and Rodney Carroll.
Katherine will be lovingly remembered by her children: Kathleen Jones-Brown, Tammy Brown-Patrick, and Karl Brown. Katherine will also be fondly remembered by her honorary nieces: Kitty Taylor, Diane Ware, and Aletha Hill. Katherine’s legacy has created thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will love her forever.
A Funeral Service in memory of Katherine will be held on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at Mosswood Park Church of God, 2315 South Lincoln Street, Stockton, California 95206 with Rev. Dr. Daphyne Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in the family plot at Stockton Rural Cemetery at 2350 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, California 95204. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Katherine Brown to Tammy Brown-Patrick, P.O. Box 7611, Stockton, California 95267.
