Obituary for Hind H. Minnetti

Hind H Minnetti (Abdallah)

November 7, 1931 – June 22, 2022

Hind Hanna Minnetti, of Stockton, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2022 at the age of 90. Hind, a beloved wife, mother, situ (grandmother) and great situ, is survived by her husband, Savino of 60 years, her daughters Elizabeth (Stuart) Johnston, Denise (David) Olson, and her son Johnny Minnetti, her grandchildren Morgan (Marty) Johnston, Kellie (Ray) Harbin, Sabrina (Riley) Olson-Brand, Nikolas Minnetti, and great granddaughter Baby Harbin. She also leaves behind three sisters and two brothers, multiple nieces and nephews along with a very large extended family and friends that have become family. Hind is preceded in death by her parents, Youssef and Wahida Abdallah, and her brother Michel Abdallah.

Hind was born on November 7, 1931 in Serhel, Lebanon; she was the 2nd oldest of seven children, four girls and three boys. In 1955 at the age of 24 she traveled along the ocean by boat to Canada where she met and then married the love of her life, Savino, on May 4th of 1962. Together they eventually moved to Stockton, CA in the late 1960s where they became business owners to a local grocery store for over 20 plus years.

Hind was a very strong hard working woman with a huge loving heart, who would do anything for you. She was extremely unselfish and often neglected her own needs for the needs and well being of her family and friends. Hind was known for her incredible authentic Lebanese cooking. You would never leave her house on an empty stomach nor with empty hands, she would make sure you had food to take home. She was immensely proud of her family, and leaving behind a beautiful legacy. Through out her life she would often say “What a Life” as she threw up her hands. To say that her family and friends will miss her greatly is an understatement. She will be cherished by all and forever in our hearts. Until we meet again…

Family and Friends are invited and welcomed to a mass at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 215 W Walnut St. Lodi, CA 95240
