It was a huge highlight in my father's later years to be reconnected with the family in Poland. Jerry was so diligent and persistent in tracking them down. Contact had been lost after our grandfather (Sloma) had passed away back in the 1950s.
I have more to share once I can locate some photos.

Sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I think he was the first face of LLNL I ever met, on a campus in Ohio long ago. He also took me under his wing the first time I made a recruiting trip for the Lab, to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Always seemed to have a sunny disposition. I trust his loved ones have many joyous memories to treasure.

I worked with Jerry at LLNL for over 10 years.
He was a world traveler, who was also insightful, kind, and a great story teller.
My husband and I also had the pleasure of going to his beautiful home, where we met his wife and he gave us over 300 of his beautiful iris bulbs.
We are both saddened to hear of his passing. We hope that your family can draw on your fond memories to get you though this difficult time.
