The matriarch of our family, Geradine Desnay Francis, was born in San Francisco, CA and passed away on May 31, 2023 at her home in Lathrop, CA at the age of 90. Geri passed away after a long battle with COPD. She is survived by three daughters, six grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her long-time partner, Patrick Hughes and her granddaughter, Michelle Kiehl.
Geradine was a loving and often generous grandmother & great-grandmother. She always did her best to send cards/gifts to her great-grandchildren on birthdays and at Christmas time.
Some of her favorite past-times were reading books and playing Mah-Jong on her iPad. When she was well, she loved traveling to visit family and spend quality family time. When Patrick was alive, they both enjoyed dining out often as she was not a fan of cooking. Patrick and Geri enjoyed roaming the Las Vegas casinos to find the luckiest slot machines where they would sit and try to win their millions! Geri had a great sense of humor and will be missed dearly.
