Obituary for Fay Birrueta Lopez

A Wife/Mother/Grandmother/Sister/A Friend
Fay B. Lopez was born on the 5th day of December 1950. Her parents, Eluterio Birrueta and Susana Tovar, immigrated from Mexico in search of a better life. Their journey included residing in Hidalgo County, Texas where Fay was born. As time passed, the family grew as did their passion for success. This passion took the growing family to Salt Lake City, Utah, and finally settled in the San Joaquin Valley. This is where Fay developed friendships as a pre-teen. Little did she know her ability to connect with people would shape her future. It was at Hamilton Middle School where she befriended a young man, Jesse Lara Lopez. As they transitioned to Edison High School, they began to grow fond of one another, and as the years passed, they committed to each other. Following Fay’s graduation from high school their relationship would take the next step. On the 20th day of June in 1969, Fay and Jesse were married. The following March, Fay and Jesse Lopez, brought into the world a son whom they named in remembrance of Jesse’s father, Manuel. Their son enjoyed all their love and support. Nearly seven years later they were blessed with a little girl, Elizabeth L. Lopez. The Lopez family was complete, and they grew into the family you know today. Along the way, many ups and downs shaped our family, and friendships were made along the way. Therefore, our mother will always be in our hearts, for as long as we shall live.

Mom, you have always shown us the way, and we are eternally grateful for all that you have sacrificed. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for the support and love you provided our small, but mighty family.

Until we meet again…
