David Michael Smith, age 49, died suddenly on August 2, 2022 from an internal rupture of his pancreas He had been battling pancreatitis for some time. David was born October 30th, 1972. He graduated from Tokay High School and went on to the University of the Pacific where he graduated with a BA from the Eberhart School of Business. While at Pacific, he was a member of the Archania fraternity.

He was an entrepreneur and opened and sold many local bar establishments. His winsome personality and kind heart drew people to him, and all who knew him spoke of his generosity. He loved his family fiercely and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Beverly Smith, his sister, Cynthia Telander (Jim), his nieces Rachel Fenton (Jacob), and Rebecca Telander, his nephew Jonathan Telander, and his great-nephew, Michael Fenton, all of Lodi. Also among surviving family members are his aunt, Nita Warshauer, of Stockton, and his uncle Steve Smith (Ruth) of Tucson, AZ.

The funeral will be held at Quail Lakes Baptist Church at 11am on Thursday, August 18th. Burial will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi at 1pm. All are welcome.
