Obituary for Celestina - Joseph

Born in Tobago, in the twin state of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on July 7, 1929 to Joseph and Keturah John.

She was the 5th of 6 children and was very liked in her community. She loved singing and at the tender age of 6 years old she began singing in the church where her father was the choir director. By the time she was 10 years old, she was singing at various events and being paid. After her renditions, people would run up to her and pin money to her clothing.

She got married to her now deceased husband, Rudolph Joseph, who was a correctional officer. They had one daughter, Merlyn Joseph Pittman.

Celestina made her career in healthcare and retired in 1989.

She joined our Creator peacefully on the morning of December 18, 2023.

She was survived by her daughter Merlyn Pittman, loving granddaughter Tricia Joseph and great-granddaughter Sojanae Leonidas.

Celestina was a kind and compassionate person. Very much loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. Until we see you again... Amen.
