Obituary for Lamark Otis Day

LaMark O. Day JR. was born November 19, 1992 in Stockton, CA to Sharon George and LaMark O. Day Sr. He departed this life on Friday September 7th, 2018, in Stockton, CA at the age of 25.

LaMark attended Taft Elementary School, after which he attended and graduated from Edison High School. LaMark was at the time of his death was attending San Joaquin Delta College where he was working on his AA in education. He aspired to be a math teacher.

LaMark worked the Regal theatre downtown Stockton where he met Ebony Elizabeth Wilder, “his babe”, on August 7, 2016. At the time of his death LaMark was employed by Stockton Unified School District as an AVID tutorer.

LaMark was a loving husband. He and Ebony were married in a private ceremony on 2/20/2017, then publicly celebrated their marriage with family and friends on July 9th, 2017.

LaMark was a loving father to Jeremiah Josiah Day and Christian Lajuan Day.

LaMark was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved family gatherings and relaxing at home. He made sure his wife, children, nieces and nephews were ok and well taken care of.

LaMark really liked sweets. He was a “sweets a-holic”. His favorites were white chocolate Reese’s (frozen to be exact) and peanut butter cookies.

LaMark was quiet but competitive. His favorite game was dominoes and he knew how not to loose.

During the marriage LaMark took his first ride on an airplane, they visited San Diego, CA. He bounded with many of the youth from the church and was proud of the CET certificate he earned.

LaMark is preceded in death by both grandmothers, June Guyton and Eddie Easter, and both grandfathers Jessie Ray George and Otis Day. He is also proceeded in death by “baby Angel Day”, the baby that he and Ebony were expecting together.

LaMark leaves to cherish and celebrate his life, his loving wife Ebony, his 2 sons Jeremiah Day and Christian Day. His parents Sharon George, and LaMark Day Sr. His mother and father-in-law, Angela (Donnie) Hale and Austin Wilder. His siblings Jaymeon Taylor, LaMara (Michael) Bishop, Shanae Day, Chitika Day, LaMarkus Day, and Kamara Day. His brothers and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

He shared a special bond with his Aunt Elizabeth Sewell, a cousin he cared for like a son, Christopher Kimeer and his God-parents Dwight (Rose) Bradley.
