Obituary for Ambrosia Theresa Mayfield

Ambrosia Mayfield
Born January 8, 1967
Died July 20, 2020
Born in Stockton, Ca. to Douglas and Lucy Hart, the youngest of 7 children. Ambrosia attended Franklin High School and went on to become a Nurse's assistant. She worked at many health care facilities, including San Joaquin General Hospital. After recovering from serious health issues, she started a new career as a cashier at Wal-Mart. Ambrosia married her husband of 31 years, in 1989. Her greatest legacy was being a Mother, YaYa, Tia, and Gamma to so many. She enjoyed cooking, planning events, and most of all-her grandchildren. She was caring, nurturing, and loved nothing more than her family. Ambrosia was preceded in death by her parents; Doug and Lucy Hart, sisters; Jeness Carey and Jenifer Medina.
Ambrosia's memory will forever be cherished by her husband; Allan Mayfield Sr., her children; Andrea Mayfield-Johnson, Raymond Bragg Jr., Allania Mayfield, Allan Mayfield Jr., Autumn Mayfield and Michael Perry, her 16 grandchildren, siblings; Kevin Hart, Renwick Hart, Bernadette Brice, and Christopher Roman, her close cousin Shelly Hart, and her "Sister" Tracy George, as well as a large host of family and friends who made Ambrosia who she was.

Ambrosia was a wonderful spirit. She made my life easy, when it was not. Her support for our family activities can't be replaced. She loved all sports, especially baseball and basketball. Her other men were Derek Jeter and Magic Johnson. I'm sure she cheated on my with one of them. She cared for so many people, if you met her you had an instant friend. We were one person. - Allan

"No one knew her like you
No one loved her like you
Your wife's love will never leave you-
Memories of her will bless you always in the every day things that still carry the tenderness of her life."
- Shelly Hart to Allan

Due to COVID - 19, we have decided to memorialize her at a safer time for everyone. Thank you
